The role of the Secretariat function, which is currently under SME Corp. Malaysia, has been expanded to oversee and coordinate the monitoring, evaluation and publication of SME statistics and reports. The Secretariat will also publish annual reports on SME development for the benefit of policymakers and the SMEs, and thereby improving the availability of SME information in the market.
