Like all businesses, SMEs need to continuously train and upgrade their workers if they want to remain competitive.
Training and re-training workers, as well as employers, is the only way for SMEs to ensure that their workforce is equipped to face the challenges of increasing competition and to keep up with technological advances.
Investing in training will give SMEs the advantage of a skilled workforce, and improved productivity.
The Government strongly encourages and supports human resource training for SMEs.
SME-worker training in Malaysia is centralised through a company owned by the Ministry of Human Resource, Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB).
