CISMEF: Sales potential, cooperation of RM150 million targeted at PMKS and Malaysian cooperatives

KUALA LUMPUR, – Potential sales and business cooperation of up to RM150 million are targeted at 12 micro, small and medium enterprises (PMKS) and Malaysian cooperatives through participation in the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition (CISMEF) in Guangzhou.

The participation is part of the Special Trade Mission of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) to Guangzhou from 1 to 5 September.

Its minister, Steven Sim, informed that the mission will be used to expand market access, speed up digitization and increase the internationalization of PMKS and local cooperatives.

“Our focus is very clear, find new buyers and business partners for Malaysian companies. At the same time, identify technologies and models that can help our PMKS increase export capacity,” he said in a statement.

During the mission, he will hold joint working sessions with the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Guangzhou.
