PUTRAJAYA, – A total of 40 local micro-entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to do business at the MADANI Taste Circuit, G Hillstand in conjunction with Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Malaysia 2026 without being charged site rent and sales commission for them to participate in the international event.
Through a media statement from the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development, Steven Sim Chee Keong informed that the commercial rental rate at G Hillstand for a period of three days exceeds RM6,000, excluding SST, in addition to a commission of 15% of the total gross sales.
However, all 40 entrepreneurs only need to pay RM180 for a business license to the Sepang Municipal Council.
“KUSKOP wants to ensure that Malaysian small entrepreneurs also have space to be on the stage of international events such as F1 without being burdened by high participation costs,” he said in a statement.
To enable traders to focus on stock, manpower and operations, KUSKOP also provides tents, chairs, tables, coolers and fans.
