KUALA LUMPUR, – Micro, small and medium enterprises (PMKS) with sales revenue below RM50 million who want to apply for an exemption from the implementation of the new minimum wage rate under Budget 2027 are urged to obtain a PMKS status certificate from SME Corp. Malaysia.
Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development, Datuk Mohamad Alamin said, each application is charged a fee of RM100, but a 50 percent discount is given until December 31.
He explained that the certificate can also make it easier for PMKS to get facilities and government support programs.
“This certificate is not only a certificate for the purpose of exemption from the implementation of the minimum wage, but also beneficial for the next business.
“If you want to apply for financing from the bank, the bank will look at the status and the certificate,” he told RTM.
