MELAKA, – More than 8,000 applications were received through the Uyarvu MADANI 2.0 Grant Program under the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit (MITRA).
However, the Minister of Human Resources, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said, of the total, only 1,400 eligible entrepreneurs will receive the grant.
“Out of 700 applications, we had to extend the implementation period. For now, as much as RM25 million has been allocated to help the businesses in question.
However, as I informed earlier, we have received more than 8,000 applications.” he said after conducting a working visit to the Jalan Bendahara business area here.
He added that the grant offers business funding between RM20,000 to RM50,000 to Indian entrepreneurs from the B40 and M40 groups.
