KUALA LUMPUR, – Funding amounting to RM36 million has been channeled by TEKUN Nasional to approximately 1,500 entrepreneurs in Negeri Sembilan until last June.
A statement by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development, Steven Sim, said that in the same period, a total of RM540 million had been distributed to 25,600 entrepreneurs nationwide.
“TEKUN has made a significant contribution since its establishment 30 years ago and is ready to play an important role in empowering local entrepreneurs through a delivery system that is constantly being improved to meet current needs.
“I aim for TEKUN financing applications worth RM100,000 and below to be decided within seven days, whether approved or otherwise.
“For micro financing amounting to RM20,000 and below, KUSKOP is working on a target so that the application result can be given within 24 hours,” the statement added.
