PUTRAJAYA, – The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) came forward to explain that the ‘Pay Day Now’ platform is not a mandatory facility and does not involve all employers or employees in Malaysia.
Through a statement informed, the facility is a commercial initiative developed entirely by the private sector, namely Ramsol Group in collaboration with AmBank.
“It is not a government policy, initiative or program nor KUSKOP. The presence of the Minister, Steven Sim at the launch ceremony yesterday was by invitation as a witness to the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Ramsol Group and AmBank,” explained the ministry referring to several statements related to the service on social media.
KUSKOP added, the ‘Pay Day Now’ service is offered voluntarily and only involves employers who choose to participate and eligible employees, subject to the terms and conditions set by the service provider.
