KUALA LUMPUR, – A total of RM600 million in funding was approved for 33,000 entrepreneurs and cooperatives in Sabah through funding agencies under the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP).
Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Mohamad Alamin said, the ministry is also strengthening the development of entrepreneurs in the state through the PowerUp 10K initiative, with a commitment to provide RM15 billion in financing funds at the national level in 2026.
“Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) approved financing of RM178.6 million to 28,122 entrepreneurs for the period from January to June this year. Until July, AIM will channel an additional RM4 million to another 660 entrepreneurs.
For TEKUN Nasional, funding of RM70.5 million has been approved for 3,492 entrepreneurs until June. Until July, an additional more than RM20 million will be disbursed, making the total amount of funding from January to July almost RM90 million,” he said.
He said this when answering Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe’s question about allocations or loans from programs provided by agencies under KUSKOP to entrepreneurs in Sabah, in Parliament.
