KUALA LUMPUR: The government is enhancing coordination among agencies to prepare for the Northeast Monsoon, despite forecasts by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) indicating a milder impact this time, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The deputy prime minister, who is also the Central Disaster Management Committee chairman, said preparedness is crucial to ensure agencies act early—especially to save lives, safeguard important documents, and protect property in high-risk areas.
