Govt rolls out RM60bil drive to strengthen micro, small and medium enterprises

PUTRAJAYA: The government has planned more than 300 development programmes worth RM60 billion this year to help Malaysia’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) boost growth.

In a statement marking World MSME Day today, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim said the programmes would cover financing, human capital development, market access, infrastructure, as well as technology and innovation.

He said the initiatives are part of the ministry’s ABCD framework, which focuses on productivity, simplified bureaucracy, access to capital and market expansion.
