ALOR SETAR, – A total of RM20.11 million was spent by the Kedah Regional Development Authority (KEDA) through aid grants to 1,172 entrepreneurs in Kedah for the period 2023 to 2025 in an effort to improve the ability and competitiveness of entrepreneurs in the state.
The provision in question is one of KEDA’s commitments in ensuring that entrepreneurs, especially in rural areas, receive appropriate support
to grow the business.
KEDA chairman, Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid said this year, KEDA allocated RM6.87 million to continue the entrepreneurship development agenda in Kedah.
“The provision covers the implementation of various initiatives including training and guidance, product labeling and promotion, assistance with business equipment in addition to the participation of entrepreneurs in expos and exhibitions,” he explained.
He said, all the initiatives are designed to help entrepreneurs improve their knowledge, skills, branding and market reach of their respective products.
