KHPM Melaka targets 50,000 visitors, the power of local entrepreneurs

PUTRAJAYA, 17 June – The Melaka Edition of the Carnival Hebatan Perniagaan Malaysia (KHPM) is scheduled to take place at Morten Walk, Melaka from 19 to 21 June with a target attendance of over 50,000 visitors.

The Minister of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development, Steven Sim Chee Keong, said that the organization of the second edition is one of the ministry’s strategic initiatives in strengthening entrepreneurial culture and expanding market access for local entrepreneurs.

According to him in a statement issued today, the theme “Jom Singgah SDSI” (One District One Industry) was chosen to highlight the potential of local products while also opening up wider business networking opportunities.

“This program not only helps entrepreneurs increase sales, but also becomes an important platform for them to explore new markets and establish strategic cooperation,” he said.

Among the main attractions is the KUSKOP MADANI Sale (JMK) which offers about 60 types of basic necessities such as rice, flour, chicken, meat, eggs and cooking oil with a discount of up to 20 percent throughout the carnival.
