KUALA LUMPUR, – The long-term benefits of the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026 continue to be strengthened by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) aiming to expand market access, financing and technology to farmers, breeders, fishermen and small agro-food entrepreneurs.

Deputy Minister, Datuk Chan Foong Hing informed that MAHA 2026 had recorded total sales of RM73.08 million, thus surpassing the target of RM58 million, while 97 memorandums of understanding (MoU) worth RM10.35 billion were signed throughout the event.

“The achievement reflects MAHA’s potential as a platform that connects entrepreneurs, industry players and investors to strengthen the country’s agro-food sector.

“Among other successes include a business matching value of RM714.4 million and opening up opportunities for small entrepreneurs to expand their businesses through access to technology, training and financing, including Agropreneur NextGen (APN) grants of up to RM50,000.

He also informed the Dewan Rakyat Session that the impact of organizing MAHA 2026 is not temporary, but in the long term can be a platform for exposure to the small-scale sector, especially farmers, breeders, fishermen and agro-food entrepreneurs.
