KUALA LUMPUR, – Khazanah Nasional Berhad through the Impact Fund has mobilized an investment of RM2.6 billion to support approximately 130 Malaysian and Malaysian-related companies and more than 4,200 talents with 64 percent of them in skilled jobs.
Khazanah Managing Director Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir said the Impact Fund aims to strengthen the entire Malaysian business ecosystem, including the development of start-ups, mid-level companies and larger companies.
“No country should be completely dependent on the government alone and any progress requires the involvement of the entire ecosystem.
“This means that the focus needs to be on developing talent and Malaysian companies, by catalyzing the growth of companies in order to grow and succeed.
“This is the purpose of the Impact Fund, to strengthen the entire ecosystem, from start-ups and mid-level companies to larger companies,” he said in a statement today.
