BUKIT MERTAJAM, – The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) implemented several measures to help micro, small and medium enterprises (PMKS) deal with business cost challenges following geopolitical uncertainty.
The minister in question, Steven Sim, said the move was important as the world was now facing various challenges including the energy supply crisis, supply chain disruptions, wars and increasingly fierce business competition.
“We want to make sure that entrepreneurs, especially PMKS, have more sources of funds and how we can help PMKS reduce the cost of doing business, that’s my focus now,” he said.
He said this to reporters after officiating the Launching Ceremony of the Inclusive Referral Center for MADANI Entrepreneurs (PRIME) 2026 and the 20-Year Aspirational Book for Developing MADANI Entrepreneurs of the National Entrepreneurship Institute Berhad (INSKEN) at NADI Center Machang Bubok, here today.
Sim, who is also the Member of Parliament for Bukit Mertajam, said that apart from that, other measures being implemented include extending the renewal period of certain business licenses and permits to reduce red tape.
